Only You
She walked a path in a formal order,
In lovely silk she wore often.
But as she turned the corner's border,
Her eyes began to soften.
A standing symbol of wealth and pride,
His great and honored resume.
He asked her only to be his bride,
And she followed him close that day.
His dream began because of her,
Her weaponry slashed so great.
His trust in her was most assure,
In that feudal era of terrible fate.
Her thoughts began to wonder,
"How will I tell him no?"
Yet his heart was set a blunder,
"My feelings, how can I show?"
They stopped at a bridge for a rest,
He talked with a gentle voice.
His words he fed truely confessed,
Of all she was his choice.
She gazed at the pond below,
With soft eyes like a rose.
Her voice like a river it'd flowered,
As she decline from his propose.
The day she prepared to be gone long,
He knew she'd never stay.
His chance was crushed, but his goal stood strong,
So he waits til another day.

This poem was created to fit an episode of Inuyasha called "Only You, Sango."
It depicts a story of how Sango is proposed to by a Lord, with declarations of love in his heart. Yet she still refuses, know not only that she had a task to complete with slaying Naraku and rescuing her brother, but that Miroku, one of her traveling companions, has great feelings for her despite his lecturous ways.
I hope you enjoyed the poem as I will probably be making more anime poems in the near future. Please review and tell me your comments and complaints about my piece. Thank You!
