An Easter Sonnet
Easter is a jolly time
We celebrate each year
Church bells toll and ring and chime
Wake up now, Easter’s here!
All the bunnies hop around
And dance a merry jig
Happiness they sure have found
Upon this big shindig
Birdies chirp as if to say
While sitting in their tree,
“Spring and Easter, Oh Hurray!
Good golly and whoopee!”
So clap your hands and jump up high
It’s Easter, you can touch the sky!
