A/N: I had to do this for my English class. My task was to write a poem which, though it is a description of an object, is really about a parent or a guardian.

There Was One Tissue”
By: Mercury Angel II

There was one warm tissue
It was gentle as snow, soft as cotton
And pure like the spring

There was one kind tissue
That soothed my open wounds and
Wiped my heart-breaking tears away

There was one brave tissue
That gave me comfort when I was injured
And lent me strength during my deepest fall

A gentle tissue
That sacrificed to ensure my happiness
And went to sleep
In the darkest corner of the room,
Thrown away carelessly among the trash
Never once did it complain or
Ask for any kind of return

Then when the tissue was taken away from me
I cried a thousand tears and asked myself
Why I never appreciated for what it has done for me.

--End--
