Failure

It lies twixt broken dreams,
Yet it looks glamorous, or so it seems.
Lurking in the dark and ready to pounce,
And up until now, it will not announce.

At this time, it can only be found
Lurking towards you, without a sound.
It looks glamorous, or so it seems,
The failure that lies twixt broken dreams.

But before you'll know, it's already here
You'll know that it's here from all of your fear.
And failure will laugh right in your face,

Before you realize the terrible mistakes

That you've made before your own eyes.

Failure, at this point, designs your demise,

And you'll feel the walls start to close,

Then, and only then, the look of failure will expose.

Shadow of Silver

Author's Note: This was my first poem, and I still like it. I guess one day I was mad, or something…I didn’t date it, unfortunately.
