Twilight penetrates my soul

I lose myself again tonight

Standing on your empty shores

Beneath your cerulean skies.

Your bitter music fills my ears

Your silent whispers haunt my mind

I know you'll only bring me grief

But I can't leave your voice behind

I hear you calling from the deep

Your tone is pleasant, soft and pure

You promise everlasting peace

With softly spoken lies you lure

I stand in shallow waters now

As if I think that I can hide

But soon I know I can't resist

I dive into the chilling tide

Your angry current pulls me down

Your frigid waters pierce my skin

I fall through sorrows infinite

And find your smiling face again

I fall into your open arms

Your fingers plunge into my heart

You leave me on the ocean floor

Screaming, bleeding, torn apart

I cannot hear your music now

Your voice no longer resonates

I only see you drift away

Now that I've received my fate

You gave nothing that you promised me

And left me in this ocean vast

You preyed on my naivety

And unto you I breathe my last
