Oh Captain Dan was a traveling man
In every port he held a ban
But his face and name never stayed the same
So he’d wreck with glee another’s fame

Oh Captain Joe, as his sailors know
Would out-drink any man for show
So he tipped and reeled, wasn’t well concealed
And had left before his scandal was revealed

Oh Captain Greg had a girl named Meg
For whom he’d give an arm or leg
But he said the same to some other dame
And the 150 wives he had laid claim

Oh Captain Bob always did the job
When from the merchants he would rob
Be it gold or glass, made of bronze or brass
One could say his odd collection grew quite vast

Oh Captain Bill liked to loot and kill
Just anyone; it was a thrill
But he went too far, when he sacked a bar
And the barmaid beat him senseless with a jar

Oh Captain Shultz had his many faults
And his fair share of crude insults
Not a man in port, of the honest sort
Had a nice thing about him to report

But he’ll get away, on any day
And take whatever guise he may
Some say Captain James, or some other names
But it’s never what his wanted poster claims!
