I wander through this sanctuary

Above the ones less fortunate

And though I live, I am but one

While those below are infinite

Your hands are reaching for my own

Your lips are thirsting for my life

Your hearts are yearning for release

But all I have to give is strife

I see your pain, you can't see mine

Your eyes are blind, I am not free

I am a slave, to what brought you here

And that is what I'll always be

The sun is setting now, I see

The yellow moon has cast its light

I see your weathered bodies rise

Creatures of darkness, you rule the night

Your moving shadows dance for me

Your hollow music resonates

Your tortured voices sing my name

And now I know I can't escape

My earthly ambitions, hopes and dreams

Slowly drift away from me

I take your hand, you lead me down

To the floor of immortality

I feel my heartbeat slowing down

As I stay in synchronicity

My final breath escapes my lungs

As you take my life from me

Now I lay here, in your grave

I see them walk the world above

And wonder why you wanted me

Why your death was not enough

In my head the rhythm pounds

I hear the spectral symphony

And I anxiously await the night

I bring them here to grieve with me
