What Can I Say

What can I say that I haven’t already told you?

What can I describe that you haven’t already heard?

I’m not afraid to show you who I am

You already seem to be able to hear my thoughts

You’ve read my past, my pain, my sorrow

You’ve heard me cry

something very few people can say they have

So what else can I do?

What could I possibly write to make you see?

You’ve peered into my eyes and seen me

you’ve seen my soul

you’ve seen my heart

and it scared me

my spine twists at the thought of it

I was so afraid to feel

because I knew it was real

I was so afraid to say it

because I didn’t know if you felt the same

I gave you my heart that morning

and in turn you gave me yours

something I will try my hardest

to never mistreat or hurt

Never in my best dreams could I imagine

to feel as happy as I am right now

never have I imagined I could feel as complete

as I feel holding you in my arms

never have I heard a sweeter sound

than the sound of your heart beat

never have I lost my self so deep

as I have in your kiss

never have I loved anyone

until I met you
