A Tribute (Goodbye)

There’s nothing you can do

Except hope for the outcome.

We’re sure he’ll make it through,

Though the skies are asking him to come.

A guide, a model, a believer.

To the supremacy he was looked down upon,

To us he was the perspector.

The sun is rising, it is time for a new dawn…

Farewell to the master of superiority,

No matter your views or beliefs,

Even those greet you from the minority,

We trust you had no deceits.

And as the door has closed for you,

A new window has opened for others.

Everyone will remember you, too,

All of our sisters and our brothers.

Goodbye papa, we shall miss you dearly,

We all send our departures to you.

The darkness shouldn’t have come early,

The time has come for something new.

Author’s Note: Though I really don’t worship any religion, people seem to tell me that I shouldn’t feel the same about the pope dying. The one thing I do understand is how important people that impact everyday life shows such a snowball effect among people when that person has passed on. So, as most of you I hope are in accord with me when I say that I give my deepest condolences to the Vatican on such an important loss.
