Plain Jane
She paints her nails blood red
For the someone that might notice
But it's a failed attempt
She could pass you by
And you wouldn't even look
She's just too plain to catch your eye
She paints her face with make up
And heads to the club you're
Heading to
You travel side by side
On the same street
Evey night, yet you give her no thought
Not even a passing glance
Or casual smile
She's just too plain to catch your eye
She scatters the papers shes holding
Yet no one bends down and helps her out
You just step on them as you enter your
Ever important board meeting
She's just too plain to catch your eye
But when she returns home
She feels optomisitc
A futile attempt to rid
This fear now feeling her heart
That she'll never meet anyone
She's just too plain to catch your eye
((Author Note: I just wrote this in like a few moments, but I rolled the first few lines over in my head and decided to put them in a poem))
