Visions of Paradise

When nothing seems to go as it had been planned;

When everything is crumbling and seems to be falling apart;

When storms start to rage and the world is against me and

The mistakes are forming a humongous pile, I depart

To a bright and colorful meadow, a beautiful place where 5

The sun always shines as bright as a flashlight at night and

The alluring perfume of flowers floats through the air.

Millions of books in great piles are standing

All about me, surrounding me, circling me in the grass;

The grass that you can hear grow if you listen. 10

The lake beside me sparkles in the sun like glass,

The dew on the leaves of the trees winks and glistens.

What a magnificent place, indeed this place it is

So sad that only in my head does it exist.
