I want your words.
I want your words to shake.
I want your words to shake the ground
so that my arms and legs can't contain the meaning
and your feet slip and slide on a paneled wood floor
because you can't hold yourself steady
you can't stand the sound of your own voice
and the vintage lamp shivers
at the end of its extension cord
until the plug bursts out of its socket and slithers towards you
trying to capture that beauty spewing out
of your mouth
I want those words,
I want you to be next to me all the time
you and your words,
I want those words to be for me
for you to whisper them in my ear for hours and years
they would fill my heart, rattle and pop
every artery
disconnect every bone from its socket
collapse my lungs until I am a writhing mess at your feet
I am at the thrill,
the beckoning.
I am at the mercy of your words.
