Fatal Mistake
dark corners
shadowed walls
beckoning me
with feigned sweetness
calling my name
with masked knowledge
luring me in to this secret
and forcing me to play the game
naïveté frightening
curiosity winning
unknowing mistake
of fatal design
my innocence stolen
with a touch and a kiss
fear building a cage
that I can not escape
terror overwhelming
agony overpowering
my inner soul collapses
dying in the darkness
constant screaming
drowning tears
drops of blood
to cover my fears
searching highlooking low
where are You, God?
do I deserve to know?
do You still love me?
will You accept me?
I’m defiled and broken
as I’m sure You know
crying for help
wailing in pain
I am living in darkness
with a mark on my name
demons surrounding
they pull me deep down
will anyone save me?
am I destined for Hell?
death comes with a kiss
and a welcome embrace
with my innocence gone
and salvation unsure
I can not keep going
and living Sheol
who knew that this was
such a fatal mistake
