He was my friend and more
Always cared for me, comfort.
He was my esential core
My sturdy rock, my saving fort.
On that day my heart was torn.
The tears they fell, expressing pain.
That was how I learned to mourn.
And the tears they fell, acid rain.
Memories washed over me,
I relized how I had needed him.
Without him how could I be?
The light inside of me went dim.
Death, it came to him so young
And it filled my heart with sorrow.
But I know I must keep living
My way into tomorrow.
