I'm not exactly sure why I put this under both Angst and Humor. It's read in an almost childlike nursery rhyme manner... but if you read it it's not really for kids. It's a symoblic piece for a drawing of mine.

Once there was a girl named Jan
And she had a little mask
That kept her feelings deep within
So that no one would ask
Curly blonde hair, and sparkling eyes
Was all that they would see
But everyday she screamed inside
She wanted to be free
One day she no longer felt okay
With being so very ignored
That she went home and broke
both skin and mask with a little sword
Little Jan just faded off
And no one really knew
Exactly what creature ate her soul
And chewed it through and through
