Before you I live with our love in our hearts
In each others embrace our hearts beat
Breathing in each others warmth as our lips meet
And together we express our deep love
Keeping close as to never let go
But one day we will not have a choice

One day when the last sun falls below the sky
My heart will slow and beat no more
Not another word to stir your thoughts
But only the impending silence
My eyes will close and never again open to look upon you
A lingering kiss will be the last as they will never move again
A tight embrace losing its grasp as once I was held against you

No longer as you rest your head on my chest
Will you hear my heart beating while I sleep
But only the absence of noise and the sound of death
No longer will my chest rise and fall as I take in your alluring scent
The constant flow of my energy once vibrated through your fingers
No longer would you sense the warmth of my energy but the absence of my life

Once a fullness in my eyes of a beauty and wisdom that you admired and loved
Now empty without a trace of what was but only of what is
Once rich blood flowed through my veins like a river keeping me alive
Now it has grown cold and the river has stopped to never flow again

And as the moon rises where once we stood together
Never to stand together again
Never will you hear my voice again
But no you will never be alone
In the absence of sound you will hear my voice as I whisper your name
Though I lay dead in your arms my voice will go on and silently sing our song
And in this comfort you can not find
Not even the darkness once a part of your mind

Nothing can forestall the movement of time
One day I will die and speak nevermore
But my love for you will not follow the grave or run dry under the sun
Nor will it flow with the rain to be washed away by the ocean
But forever will it remain not as a ghost but as a living thing

Though in your heart that very day as my last breath is drawn
A part of you will fade and die away while the rest of you will move on
But love is immortal and untouched by time so it can never dissipate

Maybe that day those tears that were locked away for so many years
Will finally touch your face while you hold my tight in your arms
Though I am so close to you I am yet so far away
No matter how hard you try no tear may bring me back
No matter how tight your embrace I am still too far away
No matter how hard you plea nothing can save me

Each day that passes
Lies closer to my death
Each night that slips by
Is one night less

One day we will have no choice
But be forced to say good-bye
