He was a hero once

He had stood against all that was evil

Whydid he turn?

What had caused him to turn?

But there he is

Threatening the world

I was his biggest fan once

Some would’ve called me his stalker

But now here I am

A hero in my own right

I hate to have to fight him

But I must, to do what is right

And so we fight

On the moon

On the earth

In the sky

In the sea

A punch is thrown

A kick is blocked

Two superheroes

Both powerful enough to destroy the world

With only a thought

Why?

I ask him

Why did you turn?

But he ignores me

And the fight continues.

I take defense and again I ask

“Why did you turn?”

This time he stops

And he looks at me.

Why

He asks me

Why do you fight for good

And I do not ignore him

And I give him this answer

“For I know that good can only triumph for awhile

For I know that evil can only triumph for awhile

I would rather be known in history as famous

Instead of infamous”

He gives me another look

“That too is my answer”

And the fight continues…
