I can't bear the quiet night

Can't bear the sleeping dreams

I'm up so late but is it all worth it now?

I've got a book with missing pages

A quiet heart with missing sages

I can't seem to break my own spirit

Despite the need that seems to rise

My body and mind protest the struggle

And no longer can I work like this

It looks like trying to prepare myself

I destroyed my ability to even fight

So this armor's gotten rid of me now

Broken me and sickened me now

I can't seem to break my own spirit,

Can't bear the quiet night

And can't bear the midnight dreams.
