Oh No...

A lady in her thirties sat on her chair

Outside on her porch, her feet swinging, bare.

She saw her son running up the long pathway

To show her what he found and to say,

"Mommy, mommy, look what I found!

I found it on the floor when I was walking around!

It was just laying there, lookin' shiny and new.

But mommy, if I pull this trigger, what will it do?"

She sat there, horrified, uttering no sounds

And up she jumped and to her son she bound.

But no, it was too late, he had pulled the trigger.

And the boy watched his mother's motionless figure.
