My Rotten Lover

You thought that you were cool

As we walked right through the doors

and halls of the school

I saw everyone’s obvious snickers

which you never seemed to see

I wished a thousand times that you would let me be

but you were always there and

never seemed to leave.

Your hair is untidy and

your teeth smelled foul

But you would never seem to mind of

how you looked the next day

You were the rotten love that would just

never go away

No matter how many times I wished you would leave

and let me be

I beg of you to just leave and find another lover

that is just like you in so many rotten ways.

Your fingernails are never clean and

were never clipped or even

Your clothes were terrible and never matched

what you had on the next day

So just please, I beg of you, to just leave

and let me be how I was

before I even met you on that rotten rainy day
