Myopic people down on earth

Never wonder what horrors they've produced

As they test bomb after bomb,

Nuclear warfare

That turns to biology

Man-made germs and diseases that can kill instantaneously

Do they care, do they think,

Of what this could mean?

They're only caught up on destruction, it would seem

And the Martians step back from their looking glass machines

Mumbling how humans will cut their own throats

With things they've designed once they've given up hope
