Chapter 8

A/N: This is the final chapter everyone. UDA is being ended to start new stories! Hope you read those!

“Katsuka,” she screamed tugging her own hair in the horrible sight. Katsuka was pinned by her wrists to the wall, her toes dangling in the air. Her face was in darkness as her short red hair fell over it. “Katsuka,” Takata repeated, tears busting from her eyes.

Lady Dragon rushed to see what Takata was screaming at. She gasped and whipped around, snarling at the drunken Natsume. “Your name,” Lady Dragon continued, “does not suit you, innocent,” she growled. Then Natsume grabbed Lady Dragon’s this wrist that was about to dive at Natsume’s bottle of booze and held it up. “Don’t touch me,” she said sneering.

But Takata didn’t care about Lady Dragon touching Natsume; she was running toward Katsuka and trying to get her down. “Katsuka,” Takata breathed. She put her hands on her knees panting. “My half sister,” she huffed. Then, Takata reached for Katsuka’s foot, possibly to pull her down. But as soon as Takata’s fingers touched the sole of Katsuka’s shoe, a barrier of lightning zapped her away, the electric sound echoing in her ears that had pierced through her, making her dizzy, trembling.

“O-ouch,” she said in the tight voice, her teeth gritted. Lady Dragon ran to her.

“Takata,” she exclaimed. “Are you alright? That force-field is Natsume’s.” Takata paused, she could feel one of her eyes begin to sting and swell. “Don’t worry about Katsuka,” she told her, wrapping her arms around her shoulders.” Takata looked up at her. Her black hair slid over her cheek and fell, tickling her. She’d never seen such a worried, caring look on Lady Dragon’s face. Maybe she’s a nice person after all, Takata thought.

“Once I finish Natsume off,” said Lady Dragon, “I won’t need you as assassins any more...” She felt a lump rise in her throat. Takata could feel just by those words of Lady Dragon that she thought they were failures. “And then Katsuka will be free, too.”

Suddenly, Takata’s back hit the cement floor and Lady Dragon was pulled away from her by Natsume’s cold assistant. Her eyes, deep like a planet in the far depths of the Solar System sparkled like purple opals and her mouth grinned evilly. “Welcome Lady Dragon, to Natsume’s lair!”

She spun the flustered Lady Dragon around by her shirt collar, laughing like a child with a magnifying glass, frying a bug. “Having fun, Lady Dragon,” she squealed pushing her to the floor. “Your life is over due,” she began. “Over due about 2o years,” the girl said cruelly, pressing her high heal on Lady Dragon’s hand. A shiver went down Takata’s spine; she could feel Lady Dragon’s pain. “And it’s too bad you didn’t make us of it,” taunted the girl. “No children, no family, no life.”

Lady Dragon’s eyes had been squeezed shut, tears nearly escaping. “And how stupid you were,” the girl continued walking around Lady Dragon, “to drink that potion from your sister.”

Suddenly, Lady Dragon’s eyes blinked open. “Shut up!” she hissed tripping the girl onto the floor, who clasped to her hands and knees, wheezing in shock. Lady Dragon quickly stood, tall and proudly. “I’m no fool,” she cried. Then, in an act of braveness, the drunken Natsume with a gun pointing it at her, Lady Dragon plunged her high heal into the girl’s back, who collapsed. “See, I can do that to,” Lady Dragon said, tilting her chin to the ceiling. “It’s time to go, Natsume,” she said.

Lady Dragon continued. “I don’t know why I thought I could hire assassins to do this job,” said Lady Dragon. Takata felt her hands turn cold. Melanie had caught up and was coming through the doorway. “No assassin, not even as strong as Melanie, Katsuka and Takata could pull this off,” she said, “so I can’t blame them.” The warmth returned to Takata’s fingers and she listened. “I’ve been waiting for a moment like this since 105 years ago,” said Lady Dragon.

And with a sudden leap, Lady Dragon grabbed Natsume’s jaw, forcing a purple liquid down. “And for all of your evil,” she said. “You will live until you are 225, and I will die like a normal person,” said Lady Dragon. Later, Katsuka ended up being alright.

The girls never knew what the potion was, because Lady Dragon would never answer questions about it after that. But after Lady Dragon shoved the potion down Natsume’s throat, she’d been nicer. She even joined the Nation Assassins Agency with Katsuka, Melanie and Takata, shutting down the U.D.A. to help look for other neighborhood killers who threatened the lives of happy families. From then on, the four of them was a group, now unstoppable known as the Foursome of Dragons.
