Crossing The Line
It’s the newest thing,
Its all the rage in town.
The guy just smiles,
And takes her hand so gently.
And he leads her up,
To a darkened bedroom.
And it’s finally time,
For her to loose it all.
No matter how she cries,
No matter what she says,
She’s already crossed the line.
He’ll start slow,
With a finger down her chest.
She’ll shake her head,
Afraid of what’ll come next.
He pushes a hand,
Up under her little shirt.
She’ll gasp for breath,
The first tear falls from those eyes.
And it’s finally time
For her to loose it all
No matter how she cries,
No matter what she says,
She’s already crossed the line.
The next morning,
Not a soul will be by her side.
There’s an empty bed,
Not a note or reason why.
'Causehe’s moving on,
He’s got just what he wanted.
She'll never get it back,
For the rest of her life.
No matter how she cries,
No matter what she says,
She’s already crossed the line.
It’s always the same story,
Over and over again.
I just wish that I,
Could help those poor lost souls.
Just to be there,
And hold them back,
Away from that line.
So no one else,
Could suffer,
Like my best friend.
Who’ll never see,
Peace in her life,
Again.
