Aral

277 or possibly less

A more than friends attraction
And a more than friends routine
With a friendly interaction
In a merely friendly scene

A more than friends desire
And a more than friendly grin
A more than friendly fire
With a friendly specimen

A more than friendly point of view
A quasi-friendly-wink
A more than friendly me and you
But still just friends, I think

A very friendly dinner date
A strictly friendly call
We separately appreciate
That friendship says it all

Though we’ve certainly been spending
An increased amount of time
Hanging out and just pretending
Friendship’s all we have in mind

I can’t help make believing
That at some next-winter date
You and I may be achieving
A sort of super-friendly state

And our friendly hugs could linger
And we’d build upon the past
We’d entwine our friendly fingers
We’d be more than friends at last
