Ice cream Girlbr
by Grace Liou

Hello, ice cream girlbr
your white dress looks so frothybr
next to your creamy pink rufflesbr
and your brown dainty shoesbr
are like two dollops of
Is that a sugary purple blossombr
tucked behind your ear?br
And is it true you live in a refrigeratedbr
gingerbread house?br
I can see your twinkling eyesbr
behind that wave of buttercup hairbr
and lovely melting handsbr
touching the rim of your cherry red
I am saddened you have ended inbr
such a bad
When I walk down the street I stillbr
see you holding your arms to the sunbr
the chocolate shoes laying in a puddlebr
at your feet as you become smaller and smallerbr
and your mouth a dirty red
Such a lovely girl meltingbr
face down in the asphalt...
