In Defense of the Earth.

I do not know what should be done.
All I know is something should be said.
How can one remain silent when there
is another who can not speak for herself.

We walk on her all day, we drive over her body.
Our cars make it hard for her to breathe. Our machines
rip away any identification of who she is. Each year on
the daily basis we abuse her and treat her the way no child
should ever treat a mother.

I speak for she who can not speak for herself.
I speak for she who brought us where we are today.
I speak for the one we choose to ignore until she fights back.
I speak in defense of the Earth.
