Trying to be the best

We hadn't got anywhere fast

We were all below the rest

We were so close

That winning was in sight

We were off by only a couple points

Losing by that close bites

I am sorry for the freshmen

Who didn't get to lose

They did not get to feel the pain

And now we didn't lose

Although they knew how close we were

And how we made it there today

They didn't know how bad it felt

Until this very day for us

We could have got it last year

But we didn't do the best

I think it was a bunch of fear

That made us lose our touch

But now we got the trophy

We'll put it on our ledge

We're proud of our lovely trophy

We deserved this
