Hey guys, I wrote this for my Expos writing class not too long ago for the assignment "I Who Am, Who Am I", which is an essay simply about who you are. Anyways, Enjoy and review plz

Enter thee into my lair? The land of which was locked up only years ago? If you wish, you now see into not only this essay, but into my very integrity. You will see the basic and the more inner elements of my life. Turn back now, or face the shards that have formed the writer of this that you read about. Though I stand as a most happy fellow, I rather do enjoy the drama of things. I am a friendly giraffe standing atop the trapeze. I am a singing, creative poet. I am technology in love. I am none other than myself.

I am a poet. I enjoy the passion and secret messages of my feelings in such descriptive words. Poetry helps me to put emotions to words the best way that I can. Poetry is my art, and my call out for help. When I find myself lost when I can’t tell anyone, poetry is there for me. Starting with my 7th grade to sophomore crush, I wrote poems to express my love for her and the agony I felt. In fact, poems help me sort out my thoughts; allow me to think logically in time of total confusion. Poetry lets me put my views and thoughts to paper. Poetry is my helper.

Computers are my hobby. The internet is where I live. With no real close friends, I often find myself communicating through chat rooms, forums, and blogs. Not only do I take pleasure in online interaction, but in creating on the computer. Graphics, web sites, and flash animation; all of which I have created many of; are a few examples. I work passionately on my goals as a flash artist and web designer. I work at achieving higher ratings and more viewers. I can show my work to the world after I’m finished, and learn from my mistakes. Computers help me create the things I love; they help me interact with the world. Computers are my production.

Choir is my community. It is the only place where I can be completely void of many rules of society. There is a great trust and togetherness in choir, it is a place where everyone is friends and there is almost never a dark cloud hanging in the air. We all sing in unison, so we must be as one. Choir is the time I can be happy and bonded with others. Choir is the place I learn so much about my musical passion. It is where I get a vast majority of my friends. There is a lot more to choir than playing the vocal chords. Choir is my home.

I am a friend. Kindness to others is something I love to do. Although thanks are rare, there is no better way to live life than to live a modest one. I am kind to most all that I meet and know. I try to become friends with any peer I can. I befriended someone a while ago who I’ve been able to help a lot. Tiff and I are very much the same in personality and interests. We’ve gone through many of the same things, and so we can often help each other. Being a friend to others gives me a good conscious about life and helps me in times of trouble or worry. I am not lonely very often because I have friends. It is also a great aid to others when you’re a friend. I listen and support others, I help others feel better and get the evil out of their soul. I am a friend. I help others.

I have a sense of humor. I love to make others laugh and be happy. Telling jokes, laughing, and even acting funny can make the day of others and lighten their spirit. It is true that laughter is the best medicine; it can cure any bad mood and almost any depression or stress. A sense of humor not only lets me enlighten others, but it allows me to become closer to others. People like to laugh, like to smile. With a good sense of humor I can tell who would like what kind of humor. My sense of humor gives me a good reputation. In fact, my funny side started in the dark days of 7th grade, when it was necessary to be lighter about everything to prevent from breaking down. My sense of humor is my protection and my light.

I create things. Not only do I have a passion for creating on the computer, but I also enjoy making origami and models. I love coming up with new ideas and things to spark the imagination. When it comes to important things like asking someone out or writing an essay for Weiss, I can think of some pretty interesting things. I created my own little cartoon character called a Mynt in middle school. On my computer I created an entire collectible card game from new ideas and made an animation with more creativity than you can wave a stick at. Even though thinking of something new in origami is very difficult, I have even created my own origami – A rose. Creativity is my expression.

I am a crazy lovesick fool. The major, and secretive, aspect of myself is that I am a sucker for romance. I love the concept and amazing feeling of love. Since 7th grade I had a crush on a girl named Carlie Perry, which ended very emotionally last year. Since then I’ve had constant mini crushes and can’t get enough friends that are girls. I fell for a girl named Macy Skidmore last year, and it seemed she liked me too; that ended. I have always wondered what it’s like to hug and kiss a girlfriend, to have fun and to love each other. Only recently I finally started going out with my good friend Tiff. Love is everything I could have imagined and more. I ‘love’ it. A big metaphor, and probably the biggest metaphor of my entire life to this point, is the Trapeze. The Trapeze is a poem I wrote in 2004 to express how each time I tried to love someone, would jump; and each time her answer was ‘no’ I would fall. Love is a huge part of my life. It is my passion, my expression, my helper, my home, my modesty, my protection, light, and life. Love is me.

My Trapeze.
