All alone with others staring in

Watching yet not caring

The bright lights blinding

And rending my heart to shreds

The mistress of the Old World

Cringing in the darkness

Yet occasionally dancing

And gleaming in the sunlight

The raincloud overhead

Slowly leaking inside

Eventually, hopefully not,

The blood will run from fingers

Walking to rounds

In an absurd foggy daze

Doped up eyes and ashen face

The dark clothes compressing

And jewelry suffocating

Ace-ing every test though

Deserving a fail

Big girl, big mind, big heart

Stuck in a small, fad driven world

No originality, yet mixing stripes with spots

Lost, judged, and oxymoronic

I’m on the lonely road.
