Words Unspoken

If I could only tell you how I feel,
Then maybe, just maybe my broken heart would heal,

But I’ll never have chance because you’ve gone where I can not get you back.
When you left me forever my heart was blinded and my life forced off its track,

If I spoke the words unspoken would I be able to let my pain go?
Or would it linger like the remnants of winter's last snow?

Maybe then I could sleep sound again, maybe then my heart would rest,
Maybe then I would no longer be so depressed,

Possessed to torment myself because of the words not said,
Forced to roam the Earth as a heartless and empty shell neither living, but not yet dead,

I know your gone but please hear the words unspoken,
I love you and because you left my heart remains forever broken.
