The city of rust
Where the sun
Does not shine
Through the thick
Black clouds
Of pollution
Where there is
Darkness
Always.

Iron Town
The city of rust
Where smoke
And smog
Rise up into
The red sky
And the burning fires
Are quenched
Never.

Iron Town
The city of rust
Where the people
Are always working
And their toils seem
To be for naught
But each day they go
To the factories
And create
Forever.

Iron Town
The city of rust
Where all things
Are made
Where the walls
Are high
Where the rust
And smoke
And grime
And dirt
Penetrate.

Iron Town
The city of rust
Rusting away
Slowly
Going back
Into the Earth
From wence it came
Soon to be gone
Soon to be lost
And those who
Live there will
Be lost
Also.

Where the last
Humans live
Out their
Short lives
Toiling
But
