Hey people!
This is just a story I did for writing class, and I felt like putting it up.
There are going to be 3 parts to this story. Here is part 1.
Please review! Even if you totally despise it and think I can’t write to save my life, then tell me. Its ok.
Here goes…..drumroll
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Adrianna sat on her surfboard in the middle of the ocean, watching the red and orange sunrise. It was early in the morning, about 6:45 AM, and she had gotten up early to surf before school started. She needed all the practice she could get.
Adrianna, a competitive surfer, started surfing when she was 9 years old, and had been surfing for 6 years. Right now she was practicing for the biggest competition in California. Famous Sponsors would be there, Rip Curl and O’Neil, and lots more. Adrianna needed to win! It would determine the course of her surfing career, could she be a professional or would she just surf for fun?
“Oh, look here. The amateur surfer who thinks she can win the competition,” a voice drawled in her direction. Adrianna knew who it was without even turning around.
“Shut up, Angela.” Adrianna clenched her fists. Angela made her so mad!
Angela flipped her blond hair over her shoulder. “Well, I’m sorry, Addy. This contest is for professionals. Which, uh, excludes you?”
“My name is Adrianna!” She informed Angela for the millionth time. She concentrated on paddling to catch the next wave. She was going to prove Angela who was the professional here!
“Oh, look, the perfect wave for me!” Angela smirked at Adrianna, and then paddled in front of Adrianna, trying to catch the wave as well. Adrianna stopped, and Angela caught the wave and stood up. She turned her head and snickered at Adrianna. “Good bye, amateur,” she called tauntingly.
“You, you-you jerk!” Adrianna yelled at Angela. She was going to catch that wave!
“Why thank you! You’re one too!” Angela responded to her insult.
Adrianna closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on surfing, and not on her hatred of Angela. That hypocrite! Angela was the girl who had two faces- her sweet attitude with parents- all she had to do was flip her blond mane and glance innocently with her blue eyes, and all the adults would love her- and her stuck-up one with everyone else she considered lower than her. For the past 7 years, Adrianna was considered the lowest on her list. So now, Angela did everything to make her life a living hell.
Right when she started surfing, Angela copied her and did her best to always be better than her, so she could rub it in her face and humiliate her everywhere. But as much as she tried to inform her parents of the fact, they ignored her. They considered Angela perfect; a perfect little angel. Yeah, right. Countless times her own parents did Angela’s dirty work for her, saying things like, “Adrianna, I invited Angela over. I hope you guys can be friends. She’s so sweet,” or “Adrianna, I can’t believe you got a C in Lit. Why can’t you be more like Angela, getting A’s in all your subjects?”
Adrianna opened her eyes. She needed to practice, so she had a chance to win. No, she was going to win. And nothing was going to keep her from her goal.
Well? Did you like it?
