Crumbling Secret
You told me you loved me
And I saw it in your eyes;
Burning there was passion,
I knew that this was right.
Because of this my heart felt whole,
Because of this I had more soul.
You lightened my pathways,
So I could see through the night;
yet your light started to dim,
And something, I knew, wasn’t right
Then I heard it chip, chip…
Something slowly but surely was crumbling away.
I held onto you, you were my stronghold
Yet something in you was left untold
Your passion started to die
And when I saw I asked why
But all you did was turn away and sigh
Chip, Chip, Chip…
Something slowly but surely was crumbling away.
I cried for now I knew,
That our love no longer grew!
I had waited long nights;
And we had longer fights,
And I then knew chip, chip…
What exactly was crumbling away
Our love had died as I heard the last chip fly.
Slowly but surely the crimson light dimmed to night
Never to return again.
Unconditionally
I open my eyes only to see,
The darkness that had never been set free.
The cold in which we all suffered,
And the hate in which we were smothered.
Why could you never understand,
That my love was unconditionally returned;
That you need not prove,
What I had already excused?
I hold you in my arms,
Like a delicate charm.
I want to show that my love is real,
So I lightly lift your chin intending to make you feel;
Then you opened those velvet lips to express,
What in your eyes I could not miss.
You had finally heard what my heart had screamed,
And with your gentle yet passionate kiss
I realized like mine,
Your love was an unconditionally stream.
