|Sparks Beneath A Stepford Machine
Author: bayshel-wass PM
The latest in my Stepford series; this one is a little more hopeful. Perhaps, beneath a 'Stepford' exterior, the person's heart still exists, and shows in bursts.Rated: Fiction K+ - English - Tragedy - Words: 87 - Reviews: 1 - Published: 04-19-05 - id: 1890719

I see a spark left within you
A thread of who you were.
Maybe you are not so far gone
Maybe a piece of you is still free.
Stepford girls are perfectly programmed machines
A single 'flaw' and they will crack.
But is that quite so bad?
For in cracking, there is a glimmer of who they used to be
Exposed for all the world to see.
Maybe they were never really gone at all
Maybe it's just an illusion
For them and us to see.
