Darkness

The darkness surrounds me
It's closing in
I try to push it away
But it just causes more pain
My friends just leave
And let me lose myself
I cry unshed tears
I fall to my knees
Losing all faith in everything I once knew
It comes closer
Knowing my weakness
It becomes cold
I try to heat up
But I've lost my warmth
Breathing it hears my pain
It wraps its arm s around me
The comfort I once knew is gone
My friends are no more
A life once happy
Is nothing more than a memory
I close my eyes
I've lost my emotions
I can longer feel joy, hope, love, or even pain
I'm no longer here
The darkness took me
Away from pain, life, everything
