When you're miles away
and I'm inches from home,
My mind goes into overdrive.

Between this distance
Dotted lines on a map I attempt to cross.
I fly across cerulean skies.
Wings of blinding white,
made of memories,
keep me going.

It's not for forever
or another useless word,
You can bet
I'm counting the days.
