This one is actually a song. It has a real reference with the carnations, the roses, and my two friends. But me liking the kid...that was just me playing with the possibilities. The speaker's sentiments are strictly art. p

She was six carnations and one red rose:
that’s the way the story goes.
Six for an apology-
one for how he didn’t love me.
Scorned him still with friends beside.
His heart that day they did deride.
To me he came, to me you come,
to disappointment we succumb.

She was six carnations and one red rose:
that’s the way the story goes.
I was one small daisy across the field
one of many weeds revealed.
As common as a blade of green
Myriads of white specked an evening scene
I’m everywhere, and anytime you seek me
I’ll be there whenever you need me.
