White Star Rising
Prologue
For sixty generations, the Altairs have fought mystic beasts and terrible monsters in defense of man kind. Using amazing spiritual powers, this family has passed on it’s trade from son to daughter to son again and again. But Altair blood grows thin, and their usefulness is kept in secrecy and shadows.
So much the better for Gavan Altair, eighteen, whose only ambition is to live a reasonably normal life. However, he’s an Altair, and Altair is synonymous with supernatural. So our poor protagonist has no choice but to keep the family business going while trying to at least get a C in math. However, living life in a setting that can even be consider remotely normal will be a challenge, what with the fantastic powers, late night trips to God knows where slaying demons and killing beasts, and trophies from far away countries.
Despite the populace’s lack of awareness, these terrible, mythological creatures still exist. They thrive. And so, from shore to shore, the cry goes up: An Altair is needed, and Gavan’s sent letter after letter begging for help from his Altair code name: White Star Rising.
