Staggering to find my way,

Bruised, battered, bleeding,

The rain washing all my pain away,

To help me find my sanctity.

Stagnated, falling apart

Trying to find my way home

The lamentations of a broken heart

Not wanting to be alone.

A gentle hand pulls me forward

Warmth engulfing my every being

“Take my hand. I’ll move you towards

Salvation from the pain you’re seeing.”

A gentle kiss into the night

Caressing my skin, my heart, my soul

Making me forget my tormenting plight

The closest I’ve felt to reaching my goal.

Please, take me in your arms again,

So my heart will be healed forevermore

Take my cheek in your loving hand

And your kiss on my lips all the more

Gentle. I think I’ve found myself again,

The touch of your lips, the caress of your heart

With the cleansing feeling of the rain,

Our hearts are one, they were never apart.

I’m in love once more, and in the night

I pray for us to meet, for our love to be true

And I’ll move towards you, with your guiding light

Face-to-face…

Heart-to-heart…

Soul-to-soul…

But until we meet, know that I love you.
