Another attempt at humorous poetry. Again, not my prefered style, but I tried. Hope you enjoy it.

Chasing the Wind

I saw the wind rush by

With a butterfly net and a small glass jar

Didn't even stop to greet me or say goodbye

As he ran so very far

----------------------

I ran after him with my own large net

Hoping to catch him before it was too late

For the wind I have never truly met

And I didn't want to wait.

----------------------------

He laughed at me as he ran though the meadows

Challenging me to catch him

As I complained about the pain in my toes

and the cramps in every limb.

-----------------------------

It didn't take long for him to disappear

Chasing after some butterfly

I stopped, unable to ever get near

And never knowing why.
