Marked up, scratched out,

Here in this unopened letter
I've finally freed my heart of chained burdens

To let them fly free, away from me
A sigh of relief, no wait...
Perhaps a tinge of pain,
Dangling from the last seam of my heart?

Can it be? Have you gotten to me?
Whispher back in reply;
All I get is a silent deep sigh

Scribbled words, on endless ink-marked pages
Smother me, consume me, enticing me
To think about what could possibly be

Stop. No more can it take
The seams quiver and shake
Longing to break from its ice cage
Emotions rage and flow;
The pain it just wont go

I sewed up my heart to fight the pain...
Only to rip it open, in order to feel once again
