My Last Breath

My last breath,

The sign of my death,

My final peace,

My final release,

From this world.

x

My dream,

Shall beam,

On that day,

In the ground I will stay,

Forever more.

x

Memory still,

Never have been but a pill,

People rejoice,

They cry out in a loud voice,

Few cry, few are sad.

x

People who never knew me,

Feel no fee,

Those who have never cared,

Do nothing but stare,

At my motionless body.

x

There are a few,

Whose tears join the morning’s dew,

My friends,

Their hearts lend,

The only regret I have.

x

The day my dreams come true,

Like the sun shining through,

All the dreary clouds,

Being given away are the shrouds,

I once wore.

x

Now in Heaven or Hell,

I do dwell,

Away from fear, sadness, and life,

There is no more strife,

For me.

I hope you all liked it. I'm reciting this for my English class, and I think it is the best I have done so far, the only one with a rhyming scheme too.
