A/N: I'm doing a test run here. If you don't like it tell me and I'll take it off. If you like it I'll write more and posibly post it! YaY!
He was a loner from Australia, a new kid that nobody talked to. He was different from them. He was goth, and there were others but he didn’t like druggies much, he had had his share back home. He watched people as they passed him, they would gauk and stare, sometimes they’d even whisper. He was different all right, with his pale white makeup and black eyeliner, his three lip piercings, his fish-nets and boots. Yes, different he was but he didn’t care.
One day he was sitting outside on the front steps of school during lunch. He was making little people out of erasers and safety pins. He felt someone come outside. He turned around and met the boy’s eyes. The blonde boy stared back, “You’re Shan right?”
“Yeah, what do you want?” the dark haired boy said as he turned around.
“Now I can see why everybody hates you.”
“And why is that?” Shan said, his back still turned to the other boy.
“You’re rude, besides that—” his voice faded. He walked to the edge of the steps and sat down next to the black-clad aussi.
“Besides what?” he continued to play with his eraser people. The blonde said nothing for a long time so Shan eventual looked at him. The boy just stared, “Besides what?” Shan repeated.
“Nothing, they’re just jealous.”
“Jealous of me! For what? Is there something to be jealous of?”
“The girls are jealous because you’re prettier than them and because they can’t have you and the guys are mad because their girlfriends all want you.”
“Did you just call me pretty?” Shan raised an eyebrow. You see Shan had been eyeing this boy for quite some time now.
“Yeah I did,” he scooted closer, “My name is Brayden by the way.”
“Do you like me?” he asked as he played with the erasers.
“I don’t know you that well but I do think you’re cute,” Brayden inched closer and kissed Shan softly on the lips.
“Get away from me!” Shan pushed the boy away.
“I’m sorry,” he said and backed away slowly. He was on the verge of tears. Shan looked at him, “I’m sorry,” Brayden repeated.
“Why are you here?” Shan asked.
“What do you mean?”
“Why are you here? Why are you talking to me? Your friends hate me and—and—”
Brayden kissed him again. This time there was no pushing away and there was no yelling or apologizing. The kiss deepened then ended as soon as it had begun.
“We can’t do this,” Shan said.
“Why not? You kissed back!”
“I know I did, and I liked it, but you can’t be gay.”
“Why not?” Brayden said again, “What’s wrong with being gay? You are.”
“Actually I’m bi but I know what you mean. The thing is I get teased everyday because of it. I get teased every day by your friends! I barely know you and I don’t want that for you.”
“Then can we just be friends? You seem like a cool guy and I want to get to know you.”
“I’ll think about it,” Shan said and left.
