Second Chances
Her life is a passing glance,
Not much to remember,
And no second chance.
Down the drain,
It washed away,
All hopes and dreams,
Never gained.
Her pleas for help,
Fell on empty ears,
And depression grew,
Throughout the years.
And when it seemed,
All was lost,
She met the man,
Who was hung on the cross.
Live your life,
To the full,
Don't make short,
What must be whole.
As he disappeared out of sight,
Her consuming darkness,
Turned to light.
Giving up was the cowards way out,
She knew that now,
Without a doubt.
Hopes and dreams,
can be gained,
And second chances,
Are given glances,
To those who don't leave them in the drain.
