Hi! Simple here, this is my first story...
Tell me what you think!

Brittney bit her lip as her camera flashed, I knew that even though her mind was nowhere near the game at hand, the pictures would come out amazing. Our soccer team was running up and down the field, their dark blue shirt were soaked with sweat.

“I’m gonna get one of Mike’s ass.” She told me, I rolled my eyes, that’s just like Brittney. She’s not a ditz unlike what people tend to believe. She’s great with advice, about boys and most thing girls need advice about at this period in their life. It comes from all the sister and step-sisters she had. Another thing that comes from her sibling is her behavior towards ‘the male’ species. No matter how boy-crazy she seems, Brittney has never had a real boyfriend, “Boys are better to look at, when you get involved, you get caught up in an endless cycle; you like this guy, you get to together, one of you starts looking at someone else.”

She’s the kind that would tell you to get over a guy cus he was a loser anyway.

I scribble furiously as our team makes a goal. Brittney leans over me trying to decipher my notes, for the 15th time, she fails. I smile, Joan will be happy.

For the poor clueless who has no idea what I’m talking about, let me explain. My name is Jenny. I’m part of the newspaper, at least till I blow this joint to become a freelance writer. Brittney is my best friend –if you haven’t already guessed that-. Right now we’re at the Soccer game; our team, the Wolfs against the Badgers.

I feel the bench starting to bounces as people get excited, I stare at the game, hardly blinking. Josh passes it to Max, who fakes to the left and make a clean kick into the net.

I stand up so I don’t get crushed by the fans. Brittney was busy taking pictures of the people cheering.

I tap on Brittney’s shoulder and we both head toward the team. With a glare from Brittney, all the fan girls backed off.

“How was it out there? Was the other team tough?” I asked the team captain, Max, the team captain frowned, “They were really good, and their defense was great, but we found a crack in their attack and used it to our advantage.” He stated coldly I scribbled his words down, they’d make a perfect quote. “Still holding a grudge?” I smirked, he ignored me.

Max hates me because; way back when, he insulted me saying us reporters shouldn’t send newbies to cover the school’s best sport.

Yup, our school’s pride sport is soccer, not the oh-so-tough football but soccer. Here, we don’t play volleyball or basketball, we play soccer.

Anyway, I showed him what a newbie I am by totally kicking his butt at a game of one on one. Okay, just by a few points and he had just played a game and I happen to know all his weak spots. But I got the whole teams admiration and Max still hates me to this day. Which is too bad because with his dark brown eye, brown hair and those bangs that keep on falling in his eyes, I kinda got a crush on him. Oh well.

“Can I take a group photo?” Brittney asked, they huddled together all wet and sweaty, I could see her licking her lips, gross.

Okay okay, I’ll admit. I was licking my lips too. But hey, they’re hot!
