So here is the final and last chapter of Brotherly Team. As my first story I am really proud and that I finished it. I can now concentrate on other stories such as I'm the Nanny, which is a bit more serious than this one. Brotherly Team was meant to be funny and light anyway. There MIGHT be a sequel with Daniel Dube and a caracter from I'm the Nanny. It won't be for a while. Anyway, thanks again for all the reviewers who reviewed! :)

I had raced home to change into my lucky sweat pants...don't worry, I wash them.

I passed the vans in which Liverland had come. They whistled, I stopped and gave them a bored look, then gave them the 'you-are-so-beneath-me' hair flip. And proceeded to walk into a wall. It hurt, they laughed and I was doomed to wear a paper bag over my head for eternity.

Anyway, I arrived at the soccer field with skin peeling off the tip of my nose.

"Good luck" I said as soon as I arrived close to where the team was doing their warm-ups, "I'd give you my lucky charm but I'm sorta need my pants."

"Score a goal for me" I told Max as I started to make to the bleachers. Jake snickered as Max blushed, "I'm sure he will." I decided to let the comment slid, after all, Max was a guy and guys were confusing.

Brittney had already saved me a seat. She sighed as I sat down next to her, "Doesn't the world feel so alive!" I blinked, wondering if she ever got her brain back after the bathroom incident. Josh came up so Brittney could give him a good-luck kiss, which turned into a good-luck makeout session. That it until I kicked him down the bleachers.

"God he's so cute" She sighed.

Now I don't mind that Brittney has a boyfriend, really, I'm totally happy. But could she just be the cool headed Brittney, and not the love-mushy Brittney. She can't even give me advice anymore. And god knows what I'll do without her advice.

"Brittney!" I yelled shaking her, a few people turned to look at us but turned away when they realized that it was just us, "Snap out of it Brittney!" I continued yelling. I considered slapping her to make my point but she'd probably slap me back and Brittney slaps harder than me. "What?" She snapped somewhat annoyed.

"Remember when we were small and I had a bad dream?"

Brittney gives me the 'are you mental' look but doesn't say anything.

"And I dreamt that I was pregnant, alone and on the streets." I sighed, "Well, I'm feeling like that right now!"

"Huh?" Was all Brittney had to say.

"I know you love Josh and he's very sweet and I know this is selfish but could you pay attention to me? Please!" I did an award winning sniff, "I'm lost without you." I pause dramatically, "Your always thinking about him. Your advice is like my bible. How can I live without my bible! I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'd like to be able to talk to you without you being all glassy eyed cus your thinking about Josh."

There was a pause, "Um...okay" Brittney finally said, seeming at a loss for words, then she brightened, "But don't you dare do the same thing with Max"

"Excuse me!" I sputtered, trying not to blush. "Yup" Brittney said, "only a matter of time"

I really wanted to ask what she meant, but the game started and talking is like having no respect for the sacred game (Except for cheering). So I settled down and concentrated on the game.

Max had the ball so I focused on him, he dribbled it and managed to get it quiet close to the net.

God he got nice legs.

I shook my head and focused again. This really was the highlight of my school journalist career, well, if we won that is, I needed to concentrate. Max past to Jake who was just about to score when a Liverland player slammed into him. Jake landed on his back and I winced, the wind suddenly knocked out of me.

"Oh, that's gotta hur- Jenny! Are you okay." I nodded my head though I felt light headed. Liverland was getting sneaky and I watch as our players got pushed tripped and all the stupid foul-plays in the book.

"Get off the field" Brittney screamed at the referee, "Give us someone who actually knows what he's doing!" When the ref glared at her, she gave him the finger.

"What an idiot!" She sighed.

I nodded, gasping for breath as another one of our players got a mouth full of dirt. What was wrong with me? Okay, so maybe Liverland was being especially cruel, but I never reacted like this before. And suddenly it hit me. They we're my friends, my brothers and I couldn't stand them getting hurt. Not after what they did for me, I'd react the same if it was Brittney out there.

I hurried down the bleachers quickly when the coach called a pause. Jake covered his bloody lip when he saw me, "Ref's a moron" He muttered. Carefully I moved his hand to get a look. "Hey what happened?" Max asked, turning my head away, he ran his thumb over the side of my lower lip, I had bit it open, "Just nervous." I said quietly. Quietly because hello! He's touching my lip. Did I put lip gloss on?

"God their beating the crap out of us."

"So we beat the crap out of them!" I almost hollered, "You were all pumped up about winning...so what if they're so cheating, good always prevails right?"

I didn't get the exact response I was looking for. I was kinda hoping for a "Of course your right Jenny! Let's go win this thing!" Not a "Ya, whateve"

"Nice try though" Max said, his lips grazing my ear. "And what happened here?" He asked taking my arm and inspecting it. I couldn't tell him that watching them get trampled on was freaking me out so much I was unknowingly sinking my nails into my skin. Nope don't think I can. "Nothing" I said, taking my arm out of his hands.

There was a pause and I really wanted to kiss him. I really really did. But how awkward would it be if he only though of me as a sister. And I didn't want to throw him off his game, so I just sorta smiled at him till he walked off.

Brittney raised an eyebrow as I came back. "I'm in love with Max." I said, answering her silent question. Brittney paused, looking confused, "And when did you find this out?"

I looked gloomily at the field, "Today...right now I guess."

Brittney's expression deepened and she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "Wait...I thought...I though you always liked him." I turned to look at her, "Why would you think that?"

She rolled her eyes, "Cus it was like, obvious. Well I mean, for the past few days you've been ranting about him, and the whole Daniel thing was obviously a way to get him jealous." I blushed, realizing that deep (deep) deep down, she was right. I had always had a thing for Max. But I was too...stupid to realize it. And now it's too late cus he obviously see nothing more in me than a friend. I sighed, looking longingly at his form on the field. Just my luck.

"So you like him, but aren't sure he feels the same way?" Brittney asked. I nodded my head. "God!" She let out a frustrated growl, "And all this time I was wondering when you guys would stop playing and hook up."

Well, we fooled everyone.

I turned back to the game because I couldn't slack off, no matter how I felt. Max had just finished telling them something and they all got into position.

I was happy to see they were fighting back, Jake even tripped a guy. I laughed my head off, till he glared at me. "We might have a chance." Brittney whispered, when the ref didn't make any penalties.

"Go Wolfs!" I yelled, then realized no one would no who I'm cheering for, "Go Max, Go Jake, Go Anthony, Go Mike, Go Josh." I took a deep breath and continued to name off everyone on the team. It left me breathless and wishing I hadn't done that but the team seemed to like it. With the last bits of energy in their beat up bodies (poetic isn't it) they pressed forward till we were tied.

Max turned around a grinned, which broke my heart in two and sent it into a drumming frenzy at the same time.

"Go Max!" I screamed, along with all the other fans as he raced down the field, he was almost there, a little bit more and he'd be able to shoot...out of nowhere a Liverland showed up and knocked him off his feet. I chocked on fear. The Liverland smirked, obviously thinking he was done with us, only to slam into Josh, who has an extraordinary skill for making goals light years away and shot the fastest moving, most precise goal I've ever seen. Like 25 of the time. We all held our breaths as the ball went sailing. I know it was only like...a millisecond but it felt like forever, my lungs almost busted!

The goalie jumped...and the ball grazed his fingers.

Wait...we won?

Brittney started screaming, "That's my boyfriend! That's my boyfriend!" While I plugged my ears smiling. I stuck my tongue out at the loser Liverlands as I went to congratulate everybody. But a group was around the team, who had picked Josh up on their shoulders, and I couldn't get near.

"What our number one fan doing over here?" I thought I could hear my heart break. "Yeah..." I turned to leave, then remembered to congratulate him, "Oh, and congrats on your win and stuff, you played we-" I stopped talking and blushed, he was just smiling at me. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing" He said, "Just looking." He tucked a some of my hair back into place, "Can I kiss you now?"

All that flew away from head except "I'm not sick anymore." Which didn't make much sense, but Max seemed to get it anyway. He kissed me softly, only for a split second before pulling back, but I wasn't about to be teased. I pulled his head back and I could feel him smile against my lips. His thumb trailed over my cheek and he licked at my lips and if someone had asked me if we just won I would have told them fuck off cus I didn't know and I didn't care cus I was kissing a really hot guy named Max.

That's how out of it I was. And I wanted it to continue forever but, humans apparently need air and we had to separate. "Wow" I breathed out and blushed, which cause Max to laugh and kiss me again.

"See, I told you so" Brittney whispered, but I was too dazed to figure out what she was talking about. We were going to celebrate, after all we had won! We were going to that no name place. I sat on everyone again but mostly Max. Is it normal to like the smell of a guy's sweat? I just snuggled close to him as he did something to my neck which felt good.

Really, really...good...

God, I zoned out. Jake's whining that I keep kneeing him in the stomach, but I can't help it. Every once in a while Max nips my neck and I jump. I can't help but feel that it's our first date and god am I nervous.

I go up to the counter, planning on ordering before the line gets totally long. "Hey" Freddy greets, smiling happily. I'm kinda surprised, yes I'm no going out with Max, but it's not pasted to my forehead. "Why aren't you flirting with me?" I blurted out. Wow, smooth Jenny, that was so smooth.

"Well" Freddy said leaning on the counter, with his eyes full of laughter, he looked more like his usual self, "I don't usually flirt with girl who have hickeys on their necks." I must have blushed twelve different colors because Freddy busted out laughing. I ordered and tried to find a seat, while subtly trying to cover my hickey.

"What are you doing?" Max asked as I slid in next to him, his arm was already behind me. "You gave me a hickey!" I hissed. "I did?" He looked really surprised, he moved my hand, "I guess I did."

I tried not to laugh, "Grandma's going to freak when she sees this, she's going to ask you tons of embarrassing questions." I smiled at me, "Ready for that?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked, before kissing me again, he managed to get my mouth open before we were interrupted by someone slamming into me, shoving me hard against Max. Brittney didn't even notice as she ran her hand through Josh hair. For a shy guy, he seemed not to care a lot about public displays of affection. Not that I care.

So here I was, we one the finals. I got a whole team who'd beat up the next guy who'd so much as look at me but I don't care because I've already got the best guy ever. Plus, when I give in my article, I'm sure Jen won't have a thing to complain about. Smiling, I look around at the smiling faces. Before I thought they were acting like brothers, but now that I think about it, they were just being really good friends. Plus, brothers usually don't want to french you.

So maybe they're a little over-protective, but hey, they're guys.
