As she stood at the edge of the rocky pier, she took in the sight before her. The sun was setting right ahead, and the last remaining rays of the day were sparkling on the vast stretch of ocean. She could see the tufts of the waves, white against the deep blue. Her eyes were delighted, as was her mind. The colour of day was fading away, and she scoured the sky, eventually looking up. The bright yellow of the sun turned to orange, getting deeper until it mixed into red, blue came next, growing gradually darker, until she was staring right up above her head. She could see the stars too although they didn't sparkle quite yet. Deciding that this was where she would muse for a few moments, she lowered herself down to the rocks beneath her feet. Crossing her legs, Kyree sat quietly. The 'silence' she heard was rare. The gentle crash of waves against the rocky pier was all she could hear, and if she leant a hand out over the edge, she would be able to touch them.
Her mind was calm, free of all the troubles she had stored in her mind, and the sun had almost set. Finally she could stare at the stars, smiling to herself at the way they shone down on her. To everyone here, the stars were a mystery, but for Kyree they were closer to home. Not to say that she felt homesick, nor was she not settled in this new universe, she didn't even miss her dear parents or twin brother, Ethan. She was just reflecting.
Kyree herself was a very charming young lady, who looked like she was in her teenage years. Her figure was perfect, she stood at about 5"6 tall, wore clothes that flattered, but failed to lure in the eyes of those who would want to see the body underneath. Her hair was currently tied in pigtails, with pink bobbles. However, it was her eyes that struck most people. One of blue, the other green, a sign that she was the outcome of something special, her twin brother’s eyes were just the same.
She lay there contemplating, both arms had folded to rest behind her head, and one knee bent to lay her foot flat on the rocks. It was nice to know that her thinking would not be disturbed, and with that she continued to do as she wished this night. Her thoughts drifted to where her brother was. His exact location, she wasn’t sure of, but she knew that tonight he would be stargazing too. The bond the two of them shared was strong, and they often knew when the other needed assistance of any sort, even without having to think or speak of it.
A Smile spread across her lips as she thought about her brother, and the relationship between them both. Her eyes fell closed as the feeling of content washed over her mind. Gently she rolled onto her side, curling both hands under her head. She failed to worry about any dangers there may have been. The stars were watching her with a close eye.
Half way across Physeospace, the sun was still out, and it was mid afternoon.
Bugs. Bugs EVERYWHERE. He reminded himself that this was why he avoided early summertime near anywhere that resembled water or wood or forest. Bugs, Euch. Swatting one on his arm and wincing at the fact it was dead he flicked it off, jumping about for a few seconds to try and throw any remaining creepy crawlies from his attire. Who had invented bugs? He thought rather randomly to himself as he walked through the woods on his own. Ethan was on a mission. He needed to locate his twin sister. Just the other night, whilst he had been watching the stars, he realised that something bad was going to happen.
Turning round to look at where he had come from, he frowned. He was sure he'd passed that log once already. Was that tree staring at him? A sigh escaped him; his cheery nature was beginning to ebb away as the day grew on. The sun was beating down on him, heavy even through the thickness of the trees, and it was muggy. Deciding that he would be better off shirtless, he pulled it off, grabbing his bag from behind him and stuffing the material scruffily into it. His well-toned body at ease with the temperature, he continued trekking through the woods. He knew he was heading in the right direction, but in all honesty, he needed to get to her fast. Stopping again, he thought about what he was doing for a while. No physeon would see if he summoned now, would they?
Deciding that if he were to spot any prying eyes, he would fly back to the ground, he plucked his bag of his back again, searching for a small gem that his mother had given him, a small brilliant blue gem. Upon finding it, he shoved his bag back up onto his back carefully, thumbing the gem lovingly. He remembered his mother's words as she had handed it over to him. His eyes closed as he pictured her. His mother was beautiful. 'I know you have difficulty, but if you even need her. Here's Fieara.' A shudder ran through his body, and he missed his mum for a split second, but the thrill of summoning again excited him. He slowly held the gem between his hands, glad that there was no one else around to witness him. Uttering a soft 'Fieara, I need your help.’ he waited, still holding the gem between his hands. He heard a roar up above the trees, and then remembered that they were there. 'Crap'
Luckily for him, Fieara was smart. Ethan’s mother had trained her ever since she was a little summoner. Soaring up into the sky, and then plunging down, the dragon managed to break free of the trees, and land with a well-timed spread of her wings right in front of Ethan. The dragon was probably twice as tall as Ethan who stood at nearly 6 foot. She stood proud in her tinted purple skin. Her eyes were like diamonds, and as she sat down to study her new summoner, Ethan greeted her. 'Hey Fie.' The dragon snorted, and looked away from him for a moment, before bringing her head up against him to push him over. Knowing her tricks, the boy grabbed a hold of Fieara's neck and launched himself onto her back, settling with his legs just in front of the dragon's wings.
"Right, Fieara. Somehow, you have to get back out of these woods without killing me. Don't forget we're not in Aetherspace anymore, no one can see you" The dragon snorted again, wondering what the boy thought his mother had done when she was in Physeospace. A Shake of her head and she lurched up into the sky, breaking through the trees in the same place she had done previously. Ethan gave a 'whoop!' as they came out the other side, squinting at the sun. If it had been hot down there, it was even worse out here. Getting himself comfortable, as Fieara steadied out, he nodded. His mother and Kyree had often let him ride on the back of their summons, but he had never been so good at the skill. His father had reassured him that Summoning was a 'girls' thing.
"Right. We're off to search for Kyree, Alright Fieara?" Again, the dragon replied with a snort, as if disregarding what the boy said. He just smiled and patted her "Atta Girl."
