The Teddy Bear

" 'Eleanor wept bitterly as the truth came crashing down around her. Thomas laughed cruelly.' Oh shit! This sounds horrible!" Simone reclined on her chair with her hands on her forehead. She was having a a complete writer's block and her drama about Eleanor Woods was turning into total crap. She ripped out the paper from her typewriter and threw it behind her back in frustration. She was never going to finish this shit anyway. "I need a coffee..." she groaned.

She stood up and saw a pair of twinkling eyes in the darkness. Her heart jumped as she saw them, but immediately tuned down a bit as she realized they had been that of her teddy bear. "What are you looking at?" She told it, feeling silly that she had been scared.

Jimmy, her boyfriend, had given it to her as a birthday present. It was fairly big teddy too, two feet in height with brown plush fur and big round eyes. She hated it. Jimmy had left that teddy on her desk and gave her a hurried kiss after giving her a short "Happy Birthday!". Then he just left. She knew that he was cheating on her somehow... He never seemed to be home nowadays and that Teddy bear was a reminder of it.

She never bothered to move it from the spot he had left it either. "Let it rot for all I care." She had said. She came back from the kitchen with a steaming cup of coffee, and sat facing the bear. She studied it distastefully. "You're an ugly bastard..." She said to it, but it just stared back, lifeless, inanimate, with that idiotic grin plastered onto its furry face. How could some people actually think of it as cute? The blank plastic eyes, the shaggy brown fur that can carry hundreds of dust mites, they way it just sits there with its head slightly lolling to the side like a drunk beggar. Ugly thing.

Despite just having drunk coffee, Simone felt sleepy. She just flopped to sleep on the chair, not caring to get up and go to bed.

"Simone?" Huh? What was that? "Simone..." She looked up and saw the teddy bear sitting on her lap. Staring up at her. Blood gushed from its plastic brown eyes, running down its cheeks and staining its furry belly. Its paws suddenly grabbed her face and attempted to smother her, shouting: "SEE WHAT HE'S DONE?! SEE WHAT HE'S DONE?" Simone screamed and found herself on her chair, sweaty and panting. It was still dark and she had only been asleep for three hours. "That was one shitty nightmare..." She thought and stood up to visit the bathroom and then flop down on her bed.

The next morning she woke up with a terrible odor in her apartment. She opened all the windows and sprayed air freshener in hopes of getting rid of the smell. "Damn, where is it coming from?" She looked around and couldn't find it the source. The horrid stench seemed to have seeped into everything. She gave no bother and left for work.

Later that evening she went to bed and closed her bedroom door in hopes of keeping out the stench. She still wasn't able to find the source though and she grumbled if it wasn't some rat that had died in her apartment. She drowsed off tired from looking.

"Simone..." Once again she saw the teddy bear, sitting on the foot of her bed with blood tears gushing from its eyes. It carried a big kitchen knife in one paw. "What is that?" She whispered fearfully. It slowly began walking towards her. "NO!" She screamed as it pounced on her head and began hacking her neck. "SEE WHAT HE'S DONE?!" It screamed angrily, continuously ripping the knife into her throat, over and over and over again. "LOOK WHAT THAT SICK BASTARD DID TO ME!!! SEE WHAT HE'S DONE?!!!"

Simone woke up again, screaming and crying for mercy. She grasped at her throat and still felt the sickening pain from where the bear cut her, but there was no gash and no blood. She jumped out of her bed and into the stinking bowels of her living room where the teddy bear sat on her desk. "WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME YOU ASSHOLE?!" She grabbed at it and wanted to throw it out but felt a strange weight as she carried it. Why is heavier than its supposed to be?

She let it go and it fell face first on the rug, still and unmoving. She noticed a large stitch on its back. Very obvious and hastily sewn with black string. She took out a scissor from a drawer and began cutting it open. Inside was a black plastic bag. She opened it, the smell was obnoxious. She screamed and fell back on the floor. Inside was a severed head of a man, completely covered in blood with eyes and mouth gaping, hair matted and cheeks sinking from decay.

"Jimmy Leston has been arrested for the murder of Klaus Deighlin. We had found his body in his apartment, the head missing." The cops had said to Simone when they had made all the investigations and retrieved the head from her apartment. The man named Klaus Deighlin had been suffocated and then decapitated with a kitchen knife by Jimmy Leston for refusing to lend him more money. That was what Jimmy had been doing. He wasn't cheating, he had been murdering someone, and enjoyed it. That sick asshole even gave his "trophy" to his girlfriend.

Simone watched as the teddy bear was being taken away, its round plastic eyes staring at her through its idiotic smile.

#A/N So what do you think? I got the idea from this when I was up late writing my story and I thought I saw a head sitting on my bed but it was actually one of stuffed toys. This is hastily written but I think its okay. Hope you guys like it!#
