First of all, thank you to LiKePiNk, Luneko, VTvivian, and Galleena for reviewing my 'little fic'. Your input is very helpful, and I'd like to give a special thanks to Luneko for her great constructive criticism.

Dedicated to all of those in my life who--whether intentionally or unintentionally--have made me feel like I can never measure up to their standards.

Why do you tear me up inside

With your edged words of steel?

Do you think that I’m not human,

That my soul can’t ever feel?

I’m just like you in that respect.

When pricked my heart will bleed.

My eyes pour tears just like your own.

And love is what I need.

Please treat me as an equal

Not a beetle in your jam.

I need your warm acceptance.

Please just take me as I am.

Please forgive this little poem if it is lacking in any way. It's not its fault. It tries so very hard to please. :) Blame me instead...
