I Still Smile

It was wonderful . . . just fantastic.

We’d spend out days together, enjoying out time.

Remember the day I pretended to be sick?

But it all changed that day.

I found you with her . . . how disgusting it was.

Ending it was great that way!

You pleaded with me to forgive you,

“It was a mistake!” you said with tears in your eyes.

“Oh baby it doesn’t matter! I was done with you anyway,” I cooed.

Although I wish we would have ended at least with a kiss.

It made my blood cold to see her in your arms,

If only I could have told you why I wanted this.

So for awhile unhappy I will be,

I hope you enjoy your time with her.

But I’ll still smile when you I see.
